I created a resume chatbot to try my hand at crafting interactive chatbot conversations. Here are some snippets from the trial chatbot, which can no longer be accessed.
The tone of the chatbot is casual yet professional, peppered with some GIFs and puns along the way to create a friendly persona.
This was my first attempt at creating a chatbot conversation. I found it quite challenging to plan the interaction path, especially within the constraints of the platform's available functions and pre-determined chat loading speed.
Nevertheless, the practice provided a good insight for me. I learnt a lot about crafting my guiding keywords in such a way that creates a smooth conversation that does not sound contrived. Furthermore, I found out after several failed tries from diving into bot creation headfirst that forming a flow is key to a well-thought out path that leads the user to what he/she is looking for.
The platform I used to create the chatbot is TARS.
